<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fault managing device capable of finding an important fault cause in an early stage and performing support to generate its countermeasures, and to provide its system and method. <P>SOLUTION: The fault managing device 2 includes a correspondence making means 7 and a fault pattern generating means 9. The correspondence making means 7 allows a first item group to associate with a second item group. The first item group is composed of a plurality of items and inputs unprocessed data related to an apparatus with the fault. The second item group is small in number of the items than the first item group and is composed of a plurality of items which are significant in fault analysis.
