<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functional organic material element that is superior in initiating characteristic and hardly gets deteriorated over passage of time. <P>SOLUTION: A functional organic material element has a substrate 1, a laminate 11 with a pair of electrode layers 2 and 6 and a functional organic material layer arranged between them on the substrate, and a shielding member 8 that covers the laminate's outer surface side and is set on the substrate. An electrode removed from at least one electrode layer of these electrode layers is arranged, such that it extends between the shield member and the substrate. The periphery of the shielding member is jointed to the substrate by a fusion-jointing adhesive member 7, and in a region where the peripheries of at least the removed electrode and the shielding member face each other, at least one kind of inorganic oxide layer, selected from either magnesium oxide or aluminum oxide is arranged on the removed electrode, thus arranging the adhesive member via the inorganic oxide layer 9. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
