PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mattress with a local height adjustment function which is capable of being provided at a low cost, being optimum for the shape of the waist part and leg part of the body, improving fitness, improving a body pressure dispersing property and making comfortable sleep possible. SOLUTION: This mattress with the local height adjustment function is provided with an urethane foam mat A incorporated in the mattress and a local bulk increasing implement B freely detachably fitted to the urethane foam mat A for locally increasing the bulk of the mattress. For the urethane foam mat A, two or more columns of fitting grooves 10 and 20 are formed in the width direction, a raised part 13 is formed on the surface side, and a slit 23 is formed on the back surface side. The local bulk raising implement B is a bar-shaped body of almost the same length as the length of the width of the urethane foam mat A, a cross section is in a mushroom shape composed of a shaft part b1 and a head part b2, the head part b2 is provided with a slit b3, and the shaft part b1 is constituted so as to be fitted to the fitting grooves 10 and 20 of the urethane foam mat A.
