PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag apparatus capable of securely preventing the breakage of a ceiling mount type electronic device even when the electronic device falls down, and to provide an electronic device and a projector equipped with the air bag apparatus. SOLUTION: When the projector 200 starts falling, a key member comes off an inflator 101, and the air bag 106 expands with gas generated by the inflator 101. The bottom surface of the projector 200 falls first when the projector 200 falls, and the air bag 106 arranged on the bottom surface leads the projector 200 when falling. Thus, even in the case the falling point of the projector 200 is a hard floor, the projector 200 itself does not directly run against the floor, but, the air bag 106 as a shock absorbing member as large as the surface on the ground side of the projector 200 runs against the floor, consequently, the shock when falling is absorbed by the air bag 106.
