PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling, in a heat detector 100 adapted to correct collected heat source images of a measurement object heat source 30 based on a plurality of reference heat sources 25 and 26, the reference heat sources 25 and 26 in measurement of the temperature of the inner wall of a shielded space while moving the heat detector 100 into the shielded space (tunnel as a typical example) from the outside thereof. SOLUTION: A measuring object temperature measuring part 21 measures the temperature of the measuring object heat source 30, an outside air temperature measuring part 22 measures the outside air temperature, and a determination part 23 determines whether the own device 100 is within the shielded space or not. A control part switches the control of the plurality of reference heat sources 25 and 26, when the determination part 23 determines that the own device is within the shielded space, from control based on a measurement result in the outside air temperature measuring part 22 to control based on a measuring result in the measuring object temperature measuring part 21.
