PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent waste straws or dust from sticking to a driving mechanism for an arranging plate and to sufficiently perform operation to arrange the lower part over a long period while reducing a load on maintenance operation in a waste straw binding part of a combine harvester equipped with a plant arranging apparatus for tapping and arranging plant ends of the waste straws during binding with the reciprocatively operating arranging plate in a site of the plant foot side of the waste straw binding apparatus for binding the waste straws transported in a lateral fallen down posture from a threshing apparatus by a prescribed amount. SOLUTION: A supporting shaft 33 vertically passing through a deck 31 for receiving the plant foot side of the waste straws to be bound is stood and the driving mechanism 35 for reciprocating and rotating the supporting shaft 33 is arranged below the deck 31.
