The axle journal (1) consists of a bearing journal. It is divided into an axle journal base body and a bearing journal (3) fitting in a corresponding aperture (9). The bearing journal consists of a journal part (11) and a counter part (13) press-welded to each other in the aperture. Friction welding can be used to join the parts together.
