<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system capable of quickly starting the driving of the system while protecting a fuel cell at the starting of the fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system includes a power generation starting means for starting power generation of the fuel cell by driving a reaction gas supply means with electric power supplied from a power storage device at the starting of the fuel cell and a power storage device for charging means charging the power storage device with generated electric power of the fuel cell until generated power voltage of the fuel cell and the voltage across terminals of the power storage device reach the prescribed voltage difference. When the fuel cell is detected as an active state and the voltage across the terminals of the power storage device is a prescribed value or less, the quantity of current taken out of the power storage device is more increased than that taken out at the starting of regular power generation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
