ANTIBODY ENZYME AGAINST HEMAGGLUTININ OF INFLUENZA VIRUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antibody enzyme capable of recognizing surface glycoprotein hemagglutinins irrespective to the continuous mutation and non-continuous mutation of influenza viruses, and also capable of cleaving and/or decomposing the hemagglutinins.

SOLUTION: This antibody or its fragment prepared by using an antigenic peptide containing an amino acid sequence existing in a highly preserved region of hemagglutinin HA1 and/or an amino acid sequence existing in the highly preserved region of hemagglutinin HA2 as an antigen is the antibody enzyme capable of recognizing the surface glycoprotein hemagglutinins and also cleaving and/or decomposing the hemagglutinins.
