<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag capable of easily uniting coupling bands extended from opposite surfaces of a left half side bag and a right half side bag, and facilitating manufacturing. <P>SOLUTION: The airbag 10 is composed of four panels which are an inside panel 20, a right outside panel 30, a left outside panel 40, and a base end side panel 50. The coupling bands 60R, 60L are coupled to the inside panel 20. Each coupling band 60R, 60L is made by folding a cloth piece having a pair of end sides 61 from a middle portion and forming an insertion portion 62. A rod-shaped tool 63 is inserted in each insertion portion 62. While the coupling bands 60R, 60L are superimposed each other, the tools 63 are fixed in parallel at a predetermined interval, and width regulating tethers 70L, 70R are stretched in a separating direction. Therefore, tension is added on each coupling band 60R, 60L, and the coupling band is stretched and spread in a flat shape.
