PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems of the difficulty in the recovery and reuse of a composite material composed of two or more materials welded and integrated together owing to the difficult separation to individual materials to fail in meeting recent tendency to recover and reuse waste plastic materials from the viewpoint of effective utilization of resources and environmental protection and to provide a method for recovering an olefin elastomer from an olefin composite material composed of an olefin resin layer and an elastomer layer containing a rubber component in an olefin resin equivalent to the above olefin resin, and reusing the elastomer as the elastomer layer of the composite material. SOLUTION: The method for the recovery and reuse of an olefin elastomer comprises the melting of an olefin composite material composed of welded and integrated olefin resin layer and olefin elastomer layer containing a rubber component mixed in an olefin resin equivalent to the above olefin resin, mixing a rubber component to the molten material, recovering as an olefin elastomer and reusing as a raw material for the olefin elastomer layer of the olefin composite material.
