PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening and closing device having the opening and closing body inhibited from being deflected or fluttered, and further capable of effectively reducing noises and damage to each component caused by the deflection and fluttering of the opening and closing body. SOLUTION: This opening and closing device, which slides the opening and closing body 10 so that the opening and closing body 10 can make opening and closing motions, is equipped with a deflection suppressing member 30 for suppressing the thickness-direction deflection of the opening and closing body 10. The member 30 also serves as a pull rod for opening and closing the opening and closing body 10, and supports the opening and closing body 10 in a closed state from its thickness-direction side.
