PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester resin scarcely causing mold deposition when molded, suited for drink containers, and being excellent in productivity and to provide a blow molding comprising the same. SOLUTION: The polyester resin comprises an aromatic dicarboxylic acid or an esterifiable derivative thereof and an aliphatic diol or an esterifiable derivative thereof and contains 0.1 to 500 ppm zinc (in terms of zinc atoms) and 0.1 to 300 ppm (in terms of a total amountΣM<SB>i</SB>) atoms M selected from among boron, aluminum, titanium, gallium, manganese, cobalt, silicon, zirconium, tin, scandium, yttrium, lanthanum, an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal, antimony, and germanium.
