PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability of a scanner even when an inexpensive bearing is used as the bearing arranged in a galvano scanner. SOLUTION: In the scanner, an auxiliary motor control part 154 controls an auxiliary motor driving circuit 155 on the basis of a signal which is supplied from a rotary encoder 151 and expresses the rotation angle of a shaft 161, and drives an auxiliary motor 93. The auxiliary motor driving circuit 155 generates a driving current for driving the auxiliary motor 93 on the basis of the control by the auxiliary motor control part 154 and supplies the driving current to the auxiliary motor 93. The auxiliary motor 93 turns the shaft 161 on the basis of the driving current from the auxiliary motor driving circuit 155.
