PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a droplet generator that can be useful for applications such as inkjet printing. SOLUTION: The droplet generator comprises a pressure chamber, an inlet channel and an outlet channel that are connected to the pressure chamber and a droplet ejection nozzle disposed at the edge of a non-circular outlet channel. The outlet channel includes a first circular outlet channel section connected to the pressure chamber, a second circular outlet channel section connected to the first circular channel section, a third circular outlet channel section connected to the second circular outlet channel section and a non-circular outlet channel section connected to the third circular outlet channel section.
