PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jet head capable of carrying out stable ejection with high accuracy by preventing defective ejection even when an inner diameter of a nozzle opening is reduced. SOLUTION: This liquid jet head comprises a nozzle plate having the nozzle opening provided thereon and is adapted to eject an ink droplet from the nozzle opening by an action of a pressure generation source. The nozzle plate is formed from a metallic substrate in which a ratio (an average grain diameter ratio) of an average diameter of crystal grains to the inner diameter of the nozzle opening (the inner diameter of the straight part thereof) is not greater than 22%.
