PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing acetobacter type ceramide expectable of physiological effects such as skin care effect by developing a highly ceramide-productive strain of acetobacter. SOLUTION: The acetobacter type ceramide is efficiently produced by obtaining an acetobacter having resistance to ceramide analogues especially to (±)-threo-1-phenyl-2-decanoylamino-3-morpholino-1-propanol (PDMP) and recovering the acetobacter type ceramide from microbes of the acetobacter. The ceramide analogue especially acetobacter bred to have≥50μg/ml resistance to PDMP is preferable. As a more preferable acetobacter, Gluconacetobacter xylinus PDMPR3, that is, (Gluconacetobacter xylinus PDMPR3) stain (FERM BP=10331) is illustrated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
