<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an airbag device capable of protecting an airbag body deploying at the outside of a vehicle body. <P>SOLUTION: In a hood airbag device 10, a hood outer panel 16 is broken at a notch part 44 and an opening part is formed by pressing a door part 42 provided at the hood outer panel 16 as an inside part of the rectangular frame-shaped notch part 44 by the airbag body 14 in the inflation process, and the airbag body 14 inflated to the outside of the vehicle through the opening part is deployed at the outside of the vehicle. A notch cover part 64 is provided between an upper end 36C of a front wall 36B of a case 36 housing the airbag body 14 and a front part 44A of the notch part 44 in the hood outer panel 16 to guide the airbag body 14 so that the airbag body 14 deploys through the opening part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
