<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which has high durability and is capable of displaying high-quality image, and to provide manufacturing equipment of the liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: An inorganic alignment film is used as an alignment film of a liquid crystal display element 120, and light L1 from a light source 50 is bent at a right angle by a semi-transmission plate 55, thereafter, is converted into an elliptically polarized light or a circularly polarized light and is made incident to the liquid crystal display element 120 by a circularly polarizing means 53.
