<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data compression apparatus and a data compression program capable of executing novel and preferable compression processing applicable to the compression of CT data. <P>SOLUTION: The data compression apparatus includes: an interleave processing section that periodically interleaves numerals from consecutive numerals configuring data to be compressed to generate first data to be compressed comprising consecutiveness of numerals extracted through the interleaving from the data to be compressed and to generate second data to be compressed comprising consecutiveness of numerals left uninterleaved; a lossless compression section for applying lossless compression processing to the first data to be compressed produced by the interleave processing section; and a lossy compression section for applying lossy compression processing to the second data to be compressed produced by the interleave processing section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
