PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal fixture capable of reliably fixing a spiral cable hanger onto a self supporting type cable without damage. SOLUTION: This metal fixture is provided with a pair of clamping pieces 2, 2' and threaded rods 3 tightening the opposing clamping pieces 2, 2' together. The clamping pieces 2, 2' are provided with notches 5, 5' which engage with a latching portion of the spiral cable hanger 'a' latched to the self supporting cable 1 in such a manner that the latching portion comes into contact with a back end 5'a of the clamping pieces 2, 2', and clamping pawls 6, 6' which clamp a supporting wire portion 1a with leading ends 6a, 6'a being engaged with each other between the supporting wire portion 1a and a cable portion 1b of the self supporting type cable 1 at both sides of the notches 5, 5'.
