PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact slide unit favorable in durability which is returnable to a center position and has low resistance at sliding away from the center position. SOLUTION: The slide unit S positions a mount 1 to the center by pressing forces acting independently in directions of mutually perpendicular two axes; and comprises a first compression spring 3 for pressing a first slider 2 fixed to the mount 1 to a center position in the direction Y, and a second compression spring 5 for pressing a second slider 4 to a center position in the direction X which relatively movably supports the first slider 2 in the direction Y.
