PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To substantially alleviate collision noise in an electromagnetic relay. SOLUTION: A relief space 211 for an elastic member 26 to be able to intrude is formed at a coupling member (a movable member) 21 mounting the elastic member 26, and a protruded part 141a protruded toward the elastic member 26 is formed at a bobbin 141 of an electromagnetic coil 14. When the coupling member 21 is attracted, the elastic member 26 comes in contact with the first protruded part 141a to be deformed to intrude the relief space 211, so that a shearing deformation area of the elastic member 26 can be enlarged. As a result, it is easy to stop the coupling member (the movable member) 21 in the shearing deformation area, so that the elastic member 26 is made to surely perform a buffer effect to substantially lower the collision noise.
