PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bathing device used for a health promotion method that anyone can economically execute at home or in a medical treatment place, a hospital, hot spring facilities or a sports club or the like. SOLUTION: A touch sensor 3 is attached to the lower part of the inner wall surface of a bathtub 2, and the number of steps counted by the touch sensor 3 is displayed on a liquid crystal display panel 7. Consumed calories are calculated from the number of steps on the basis of a conversion table and are displayed on the liquid crystal display panel 7. The conversion table is prepared with a bath temperature as a parameter. Thus, a bather recognizes the number of steps and the consumed calories just by alternately stepping on the touch sensor 3 with both feet, and it leads to health promotion. Since the influence of the bath temperature on the consumed calories is taken into consideration, appropriate consumed calories are displayed regardless of the height of the bath temperature.
