The present invention relates to compounds that function as modulators of the PKl receptor, and particularly to a class of potent and selective antagonists of the PKl receptor. The compounds are useful as potent and selective antagonists of the PKl receptor in mammals and as therapeutic agents for disease states in mammals caused by activity of the PKl receptor.
