The connector unit has a contact unit, and a housing in which the contact unit is held. A sealing unit (148) produces a sealing in a region of a cable, and includes two sealing unit sections (150) that are separated by a separation surface (154). Each section of the sealing unit has a sealing body (160) that forms a sealing surface (166) and a respective contact surface. The sealing unit sections are stressed by the housing in such a way that the sealing surfaces lie against the cable and the contact surfaces rest against one another by an elastic force.
