The container (1) has a closure device (3), and an identification unit (5) for identification of the container. The unit (5) has bar codes having a number of lines (8a, 8b) arranged parallel to each other, where the lines have predetermined thicknesses and are arranged at a preset distance from each other. The lines extend in a peripheral direction of the container. The identification unit extends over the part of periphery of the container. The identification unit has a base body (11) with side edges, where the base body is made from partially transparent material. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a sample taking device for a milking device to milk the animals, comprising a container for receiving the liquid samples (2) a milking device comprising a sample taking device (3) a method for milking of animals by a milking installation.
