Provided is a bead filler rubber composition for the radial tire of a truck or a bus which is remarkably improved in blow out characteristics, hardness and heat build-up characteristics. The bead filler rubber composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a rubber material; 0.5-4.0 sulfur as a crosslinking agent; and 1-10 parts by weight of a mixture of N,N-diphenylguanidine and N-t-butyl benzothiazole sulfenamide as a vulcanization accelerator, wherein the ratio of N,N-diphenylguanidine and N-t-butyl benzothiazole sulfenamide is 1:1 to 1:5. Preferably the rubber material comprises 80-100 parts by weight of a natural rubber and 0-20 parts by weight of a 1,4-polybutadiene rubber; and the sulfur is a free sulfur or an oil-treated sulfur.
