A gate driver for an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device is provided to improve image quality of the LCD device by periodically inverting voltages applied on two transistors in a shift register. A gate driver includes plural shift registers, which output shifted signals in sequence. The shift register includes a first controller(21), a second controller(23), and an output unit(25). The first controller controls a first node in response to output signals from previous and next shift registers. The second controller controls second and third nodes in response to the output signal from the previous shift register and the voltage of the first node. The output unit selectively outputs one of a clock signal and a first supply voltage in response to the voltages on the first to third nodes. Second and third supply voltages, which are different from each other, are supplied to the second and third nodes.
