<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that makes a user less likely to erroneously recognize conveyance failure of a sheet subjected to image formation on its surface and kept in a standby-state for the start of image formation on its back while partly ejected out of the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 10 includes: an image forming means 16 having an image forming section 17 where an image is formed on a sheet; a main conveyance path 62 for conveying a sheet to the image forming section 17; and a reconveyance path 70 along which, while inverted, the sheet subjected to image formation by the image forming section 17 is reconveyed to the image forming section 17. The control device 120 exerts control such that the speed at which the sheet with images formed on its surface by the image forming section 17 is reconveyed to the image forming section 17 along the sheet reconveying path 70 is made lower than the speed at which the sheet is conveyed along the main conveyance path 62. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
