<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of assuring a uniform appearance of an installed floor cover material even in a corner area. <P>SOLUTION: The device for installing a floor material and a wall cover material in a reentrant corner 1D includes an independent insert 10 made of the same material as that of the cover material and having the same structural and decorative characteristics as those of the cover material. The corner insert has a two dimensional form before being installed, and is changed into a three dimensional form after being installed. The insert has a specified geometric constitution consisting of a plurality of irregular lines in a flat state. After the insert is installed, the insert has a general parallelepiped geometric constitution, and the center section Z4 consisting of three triangles is inclined after installation and is installed within a front plane so as to be separated apart from the corner area where the continuous wall 1A, 1B and the floor 1C adjoin each other.
