<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which has an image carrier formed with a toner image and an agent feeder for feeding a lubricant to the surface of the image carrier, and which prevents the lubricant fed to the surface of the image carrier from being deteriorated by receiving the influence of electric discharge. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is configured to use the agent feeder 10 having a lubricant block 11 and a brush roller 12, to scrape the lubricant from the lubricant block 11 by rotation of the brush roller 12 and to feed the scraped lubricant via the brush roller 12 to the image carrier 1.
