PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil pump securing desired oil discharge rate and preventing generation of abnormal vibration. SOLUTION: When oil pressure in an oil storage space 70 and a discharge passage 20 does not become excessive in a discharge process, one ends of the discharge passage 20, a suction passage 16 and an air discharge passage 18 are shut off by a valve member 30 and a spring. When oil pressure in the oil storage space 70 and the discharge passage 20 becomes excessive, the excessive pressure resists against the spring and moves the valve member 30, and establishes communication between the delivery passage 20, the suction passage 16 and the air discharge passage 18 to disperse excessive pressure to the suction passage 18 and the air discharge passage 18.
