PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reactor which can be easily and accurately assembled, and a manufacturing method thereof. SOLUTION: In this method of assembling a reactor, cores 10 each consisting of a magnetic body are placed adjacently to gaps 20 each consisting of a non-magnetic body, and the cores 10 and the gaps 20 are kept in a joined state by utilizing a magnetic force of permanent magnets 30. Since the magnetic force of the permanent magnet 30 can be applied to the cores 10 each consisting of a magnetic body, the cores 10 and the gaps 20 can be kept in a predetermined joined state by utilizing the magnetic force of the cores 10 and the permanent magnets 20.
