PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of performing fine transfer having no image defect even when transfer to rough paper having large surface ruggedness is performed, the width of a recording medium is narrower than the width of a photoreceptor, or transfer to the second surface of paper on which wrinkles are generated due to heat during the fixing of a toner image on the first surface is performed as to an image forming apparatus for electrostatically transferring a toner image formed on a photoreceptor to a recording medium.
