PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-generating type light-emitting glass formed with a light emitting unit and being used semipermanently. SOLUTION: This self-generating type light-emitting glass is formed by mounting a light-emitting diode 201, a printed circuit board 202 and a light emitting unit 200 formed as a switch at the lower end part of a glass body 100 composed of glass or synthetic resin with translucency. A generator 300 composed of a generator 310 for generating electricity through the induction between a rotator 311 and a stator 312 a set-up gear group 320 accelerating and transmitting the torque intially input to the rotator of the generator, and an electrolytic capacitor 330 charging the electricity generated through the generator, is positioned below the light-emitting unit, and the lower and of the cup body includes a detachable cap 400 covering the light emitting unit and the generator unit.
