PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a descending device which makes it hard for a rope to come off at the time of use and easy for the rope to come off at the time of removing the rope. SOLUTION: The descending device has a main body having a passing through hole for passing the bending part of the rope, a slide section which partitions the passing through hole into two hole sections by being slid to one side and converts the passing through hole into one hole section by being slid to the other side, and a slide regulation mechanism for regulating a slide to the other side of the slide section.
