PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable anyone to comfortably and surely perform a setting operation by performing appropriate voice reporting corresponding to conditions in the conditions that it is needed for a user in the process of the setting operation in a rice cooker for cooking rice by setting functions such as menu selection and rice brand selection. SOLUTION: The functions of menu selection and the rice brand selection or the like are set by a function setting means 1, the setting of the respective functions is canceled by a setting cancellation means 4, the setting conditions of the respective functions by the function setting means 1 or the like are displayed by a display means 6, and the setting conditions of the respective functions by the function setting means 1 and contents to perform the setting operation next or the like are reported by voice by a voice reporting means 2. Rice cooking is started by a rice cooking start means 3, and the display means 6 and the voice reporting means 2 are controlled by a control means 5 on the basis of input by the function setting means 1 or the like. After first prescribed time elapses after the setting operation is performed, the voice reporting means 2 reports the contents to perform the setting operation next by voice.
