PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pet excrement-treating material which has such water resistance as little changing the appearance, not swelling and not collapsing, even when used for a long period of one month or more, and maintains a deodorizing performance at a high level. SOLUTION: This pet excrement-treating material using the crushed product of a raw material originated from a plant as a main constituent, comprises (1) 70 to 98.99 mass% of the crushed product of the raw material originated from the plant, (2) 1 to 20 mass% of a synthetic resin, and (3) 0.01 to 5 mass% of a tectosilicate. The tectosilicate is preferably zeolite. Additionally, the tectosilicate preferably has a specific surface area of 1 to 70 m<SP>2</SP>/g. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
