PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of preparing an array object of silica particulates capable of readily obtaining an array structure of colloidal silica particulates. SOLUTION: The method of preparing the array object of the silica particulates comprises bringing colloidal silica into contact with a substrate composed of glass whose surface is subjected to molecular modification by a compound having a plurality of OH groups bonded to a phosphorus atom.
