PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to adjust a bending angle over a wide range while securing stable guiding and conveyance drive of a bill. SOLUTION: The bill conveyance device (bending unit) of the present invention is equipped with a first conveyance part 1 and a second conveyance part 2 rotatably connected to each other. Each of the conveyance parts 1 and 2 has first and second central conveyance passages 1a and 2a in the bill conveying direction, respectively. The connection between the conveyance parts 1 and 2 continue in a state of the inner and outer peripheries of each of the conveyance passages 1a, 2a being surrounded by rigid wall faces 13, 23 and 24, and having a common arc center O and an arc radius R, and each of the conveyance parts 1 and 2 are rotatable with each other with respect to the arc center O. A friction roller is provided for conveying by frictional force by rotating with the arc center O as the center and abutting the inner peripheral face of the bill passing through the central conveyance passages 1a and 2a.
