The insert has a screw-in body (10) with a hollow spindle, and a valve body (30) having a cylindrical lower section with an external diameter that is smaller than a flow unit. Radial dimension of the valve body is independent of the radial dimension of the spindle. The lower section has a flat seal in an area where it radially widens. A spring surrounds a level gauge (40) in a spindle section that is covered by the screw-in body.
