摘要 The sieve mechanism for extracting carrier liquid from fiber suspension in which a plasma is generated in the suspension or in immediate vicinity and is separated from the suspension by a distance of smaller than 5 cm. An electrode (44) is used for production of the plasma. The electrodes (43, 44) are arranged in direct vicinity to wet suction region or a flat suction region. Pure oxygen or oxygen with noble carrier gas is supplied between or into the direct vicinity of the electrodes by gas distributor. A gas discharge takes place through the suspension which is led between the electrodes. An independent claim is included for treatment of unknitted fiber in suspension.
