<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate stripping work to strip a protective sheet of a polarizer, to decrease electrostatic charges between a polarizer surface and a protective sheet surface generating upon stripping, and to prevent breakdown due to electrostatic charges of an electronic component such as a liquid crystal control driver connected to a display panel. <P>SOLUTION: The polarizer comprises a polarizer body 30 and a protective sheet 10 layered thereon as strippable, wherein the protective sheet 10 is applied in such a manner that the sheet 10 is stripped as divided upon stripping the polarizer body 30.
