PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key managing system which is simple in structure and can store and manage a number of key units 2. SOLUTION: According to the key managing system, a plurality of holders 1, 1, etc. are arranged on a panel 11 longitudinally and transversely, i. e. two-dimensionally. Each of the holders 1, 1, etc. holds the key unit 2 which has an IC tag attached to a plate thereof. Then a longitudinal antenna 14 is arranged on a rear surface of the panel 11, and the antenna 14 is reciprocatively moved on the rear surface by means of a motor 18, a reduction gear 17, and a belt 16. The antenna 14 functions to read an identification code of the IC tag of the key unit 2, and stores therein the location of the holder 1 corresponding to each identification code as managing information. When the key unit is taken out, an LED 1a of the holder 1 where the corresponding key unit 2 exists is lighted up. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
