PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator display device exhibiting the electric power saving effect, by finely controlling displays by information from waiting passenger detecting sensors and information from an elevator operation control part, by turning off an indicating lamp at inactive time when there is no waiting passenger with every landing hall, regardless of a using frequency of an elevator itself. SOLUTION: This elevator device has the displays 13 to 27 arranged in respective story landing halls and displaying information for the waiting passengers of the landing halls, a turning-on control part controlling turning-on and turning-off of these displays, the elevator operation control part controlling operation of the elevator, and waiting passenger detecting sensors 34 to 39 arranged in the respective story landing halls and detecting the waiting passengers; and controls the turning-on and the turning-off of the displays with respective story landing halls by the information from the waiting passenger detecting sensors and the information from the elevator operation control part.
