PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronically controlled brake system capable of shortening the actuating time of pumps at the time of active control, forming the liquid pressure quickly, and decreasing the pressure pulsation. SOLUTION: The electronically controlled brake system is equipped with a first 30 and a second hydraulic circuit 60 for forming a closed circuit by coupling a master cylinder assembly 1 with a plurality of brake cylinders 11, 12, 13, 14 and a first 21 and a second pump unit 22 installed in the hydraulic circuits 30 and 60 in order to perform the active control, and further the arrangement includes a pair of suction lines 31 and 32 to couple together the suction sides of the master cylinder assembly 1 and the first pump unit 21 and a pair of suction lines 61 and 62 to couple together the suction sides of the master cylinder assembly 1 and the second pump unit 22, wherein the suction lines 31, 32, 61, 62 are furnished with suction side solenoid valves 51, 52, 81, 82, respectively.
