PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent gold dust from exfoliating and prevent a surface of the gold duct from glittering, when a surface of an article is decorated with the gold duct. SOLUTION: In this method, when a character or a pattern on the surface of the article is to be decorated with the gold dust, the gold dust is bonded to the character or the pattern after the character or the pattern is drawn on the surface of the article, and a mat transparent paint is applied onto the character or the pattern, to which the gold dust is bonded, so that the gold dust can be fixed to the surface of the article.
