Nanoporous monoliths with (partially) permeable hierarchical pore structure, produced by modified sol-gel process, used in adsorption, catalysis, solid phase biochemistry and microreaction and sensor technology

Nanoporous monoliths (1) have a (partially) permeable hierarchical pore structure (2) with at least one accurately defined nanopore, with a pore size in the 1 nm to several hundred mu m range, which passes into at least one accurately defined nanopore with a pore size in the 0-10 nm range. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) preparation of monoliths in a modified sol-gel process; (2) use of such a monolith in adsorption, catalysis, solid phase biochemistry, microreaction technology and sensor technology.
