<p>The invention concerns a method for hot-filling a container with a sterilized liquid, generally at a temperature ranging between 60 and 95 °C, characterized in that it includes the following steps: a) providing a container made of a material and in accordance with a process adapted to make it resistant to hot-filling with said liquid, said container having residual stresses resulting from its manufacture; b) filling said container with said hot liquid; c) closing said filled container immediately after it has been filled; d) allowing it to cool at least below a congealing temperature of the container, causing the container to be deformed by formation of a depression therein; and e) heating the container to bring about relaxation of the residual stresses, said relaxation leading to a reduction and subsequently generating an internal pressurization of the container which compensates at least the deformations caused by the effects of the depression of step d).</p> |
